Three Phase Cycloconverter

This kit consists of a power circuit and a firing circuit for demonstration of a three phase cyclo converter circuit.

POWER CIRCIUT:

This unit consists of 18 SCRs interconnected to form a three phase cyclo converter configuration. All devices are mounted on heat sink and provided with snubber protection. A fuse and circuit breaker are provided as protection. Voltmeter and ammeter are provided to display current and voltage. All connections are brought out to front panel through terminals. R, RL and a motor can be used as load. 

The entire setup is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.

FIRING CIRCIUT:

This unit generates 18 synchronized firing pulses for the SCRs connected in a three phase cyclo converter configuration. The firing circuit is based on a programmed microcontroller. Frequency division from 1 to 10 is provided and firing angle can be varied from 180 to 0 degree by using the switches. A display is provided to indicate the firing angle.

Works on 230V AC mains and is enclosed ins a powder coated MS box.
