Motor Protection

This experimental setup consists of:

a) Three phase induction motor - 3hp/415V/1440rpm (ABB make) with mechanical loading arrangement.

b) Three phase autotransformer - 0-470V/6A.

c) Motor protection scheme study unit

The study units consists of:

a) C&S make digital motor protection relay.

b) Multifunction meter to measure voltage, current, frequency and power.

c) Digital time interval meter to measure trip time.

d) Digital RPM meter to display motor speed.

e) Switches to create different faults like phase failure, open winding, phase reversal and ground fault.

f) Switches and indicators are provided.
