Study of a MOSFET based step up and step down chopper.
This unit consists of power MOSFET mounted on a suitable heat sink and protected by snubber circuit and fuse. Inductor is provided for the stepping up or stepping down voltage. A freewheeling diode is also provided. An output capacitor is provided to reduce output voltage ripple. Control circuit to vary the duty cycle and frequency are provided.
