Study of a single phase PWM inverter.
This unit consists of 4 IGBTs mounted on heat sink and provided with snubber protection. An MCB is provided to ensure safe routing of single phase AC supply which is rectified by a bridge rectifier. A DC link capacitor is provided on the input side along with analog voltmeter and analog ammeter to read DC link voltage and DC current. A microcontroller based firing circuit is provided in the same unit along with an LCD display to indicate frequency and duty cycle. Both these control parameters can be varied by using provided switches.
Entire setup is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.
NOTE: An arduino based or a DSP based firing circuit can also be provided as per request.
