Study of a DC motor control unit.
This unit consists of 2 SCRs and 3 diodes all mounted on a heat sink and protected by snubber circuit. A fuse and MCB are provided for protection. Ammeter and voltmeter are provided to indicate current and voltage. A firing circuit is provided to change the firing angle through a potentiometer. Field supply terminals are provided through a bridge rectifier.
Entire setup is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.
