Single Phase Dual Converter

This kit consists of a power circuit and a firing circuit for demonstration of single phase dual converter.

POWER CIRCIUT:

This unit consists of 4 SCRs in P-converter and 4 SCRs in N-converter. All devices are mounted on heat sink and provided with snubber protection, fuse and circuit breaker. Voltmeter and ammeter are provided for indicating voltage and current. All connections are brought out to front panel through terminals. Entire setup is enclosed in powder coated MS box.

FIRING CIRCUIT:

This unit generates 8 synchronized firing pulses for triggering 4 SCRs in P-converter and 4 SCRs in N-converter configured either in circulatory mode or non circulatory mode. The firing circuit is microcontroller basedand provided with a display to indicate firing angle. Firing angle can be varied between 180 to 0 degree using switches. 

Works on 230V AC mains and is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.

NOTE: 2 external center tapped inductors are to be used while operating in circulatory mode to limit the circulatory current.
