To study an TRIAC and DIAC based single phase AC voltage controller.
The unit consists of a triac, diac, lamp and other components to construct a lamp dimmer circuit. The devices are mounted on heat sinks and provided with protection. By varying the provided potentiometer the AC supply to the load can be controlled. The connections are brought out to a screen printed polycarbonate front panel. The entire setup is enclosed in a powder coated MS box.
